setting to networking to reviewing employment opportunities. In
the follow up evaluation, 20% had been successful
in securing work in SECT.
- Workshops for women working in the SECT sectors
including enterprise skills and networking and
were run in Scotland in Aberdeen, Inverness and
Edinburgh.
- The Scottish Resource Centre developed a focus
for Athena SWAN work with universities in Scotland.
A successful event was run in March 2007 in Edinburgh,
with Scottish universities that had achieved SWAN
Awards sharing their experiences with other universities.
- The Scottish Resource Centre engaged with policy
makers, employers, and women working in the sector
across Scotland. This was demonstrated through
attendance at events and through the participation
of key stakeholders in the Advisory Committee.
- One area of activity for the Scottish Resource
centre has been the creation of an innovative student
society for women studying engineering, computing,
built environment, creative industries, linking
them with WES members and employers with a web-based
forum.
- The Scottish Resource Centre organized a panel
discussion at Holyrood, including politicians and
key stakeholders from academia and industry, to

Manifesto.
